As a huge fan of the brand (and a customer himself), our co-founder Olly poked, prodded and hounded Jake on Instagram for months. He finally managed to get him on a call to discuss what we could do for him, and ultimately bring him on board!
WHAT WE DID:
Increased traffic to their site and skyrocketed online sales using Meta ads.
HOW WE DID IT:
We supported and facilitated a constant creative feedback loop to iterate and adapt on proven killer creative concepts. Using this creative we horizontally scaled their ad account by pushing spend behind the different independent brands they stock, all while maintaining a consolidated account structure. Month on month we increased ad budgets by 20% so that while we were pushing those sales and maintaining consistent growth, it allowed the logistical demands of the business to keep up with the pace we were scaling.
HOW WE DID IT?
Jake is a music lover, so understandably UN:IK strongly embodies this love for music, making it crucial that the ads we’re running represent that.
We held creative workshops with them to dive into the different creative concepts surrounding music that they love and the specific artists who inspire the designs, and then how we can use these concepts in the output of their creative content as well as the ads that we run. Like with our Meta ad strategy, we maintain constant creative feedback loops in place to iterate on proven creative approaches to keep their ads fresh while following a data-driven approach to ensure that we’re certain the content being created will convert.
Once the creative was perfected and in place, we ran a simplified account structure with each campaign pushing a specific collection. We consistently run creative testing campaigns to test new variations of creative. We then analyse the data and push spending behind the highest-performing creatives to further scale the account.

Keep existing customers coming back for more using customer retention strategies like Email marketing.
HOW WE DID IT?
We utilised email marketing to keep existing customers coming back. Instead of using a ‘sales-driven’ approach (this does have it’s place, but we’ve found it can sometimes be a big turn-off for customers), we gave UN:IKs community meaningful, value-driven email communication. We introduced flows into their email strategy which ensured that every step of the customer's journey was attended to, making sure to test and optimise each email within the flow to guarantee incremental improvements month on month.
Customer segmentation has been key to making sure that audiences feel valued, allowing us to personalise the content to suit the customer specifically, creating campaigns which target multiple segments with 2-4 sends per week. Ultimately resulting in increased revenue for UN:IK and cementing the strategy’s potency.
To start, UN:IK is up 100% year on year over the past 18 months. To keep up with the pace of their growth since we started working with them, and the current demand for their stock, they have grown their office and warehouse space. They have a clear path to growth with new customer acquisition through Facebook and TikTok ad strategies (while looking to diversify spending in other avenues), along with a solid retention strategy in place (drawing 35% of overall revenue from Klaviyo Email marketing!). We’re now seen as an outsourced CMO and have been given the trust to communicate effectively the way that they would with their audience.
Together we’ve built a clear comms and workflow, putting that in place with the team at Soar and the internal team at UN:IK; making weekly calls, daily contact in Slack, and quarterly meet-ups.
